ハタザオキキョウ（旗竿桔梗）

細く直立する茎に、釣り鐘状の紫花を一方向に連ねて咲かせる姿が印象的な宿根草です。初夏から盛夏にかけて風に揺れる花穂は、草地や林縁に軽やかなリズムを与え、ナチュラルガーデンの中で自然に溶け込む存在となります。ヨーロッパ原産で、地下に伸びる根茎によって広がる性質があり、半野生的な群落をつくることもあります。

環境適応力が高く、日向から半日陰まで幅広く育ちますが、適度に湿り気のある土壌で特に生育が良くなります。野趣を活かした植栽では魅力的な一方、繁殖力が強いため、他の植物とのバランスを意識した配置や、広がりを前提としたデザインが求められます。自然な風景の中に「揺らぎ」と「奥行き」を生み出す、扱い方次第で非常に表情豊かな植物です。

Campanula rapunculoides

A graceful perennial characterized by its slender, upright stems lined with nodding, bell-shaped purple flowers. Blooming from early to midsummer, it brings a soft rhythm and movement to meadows and woodland edges, blending naturally into informal, naturalistic plantings.

Native to Europe, it spreads vigorously through underground rhizomes, often forming loose colonies that evoke a semi-wild landscape. It adapts well to a wide range of conditions, from full sun to partial shade, and thrives particularly in moderately moist soils.
