ユーパトリウム・マスク（Eutrochium maculatum 系）は、夏から初秋にかけてやわらかなピンク～淡紫色の花を咲かせる大型の宿根草です。英名では Joe-Pye weed（ジョー・パイ・ウィード） と呼ばれ、自然風の庭やナチュラルガーデンに欠かせない存在として人気があります。

かつては Eupatorium（ユーパトリウム属） に分類されていましたが、現在は Eutrochium（エウトロキウム属） に再分類されており、より大型で野趣のある姿が特徴です。

草丈は1.2〜1.8mほどに成長し、群植することで空間に奥行きとリズムを生み出します。湿り気のある土壌を好み、雨水が集まりやすい場所や林縁、ビオトープ周辺にも適応します。また、蜜を多く含む花は蝶やミツバチなどのポリネーターを引き寄せ、生態系を豊かにする役割も担います。
