Tulipa turkestanica は中央アジアの乾いた山岳地帯に自生し、繊細な姿の中に野生種ならではの強さを持っています。1球から数輪の花を咲かせ、白い花弁の中心にのぞく黄色がやわらかなアクセントになります。

一般的な園芸チューリップよりも自然な雰囲気があり、グラス類や宿根草との相性も良好。ロックガーデンやナチュラリスティックな植栽、春のメドーガーデンにもよく馴染みます。植えっぱなしでも増えやすく、毎年春の訪れを軽やかに知らせてくれる球根植物です。
